Rainy Thursday...it is Thursday right?

Time: 9.48pm
Location: Couch on the office

The weather has been so unpredicatable these days. It's bright and sunny (and scorching hot) one minute, and the next, it's POURING cats and dogs.

I think the rain makes one moody. It's like when the skies look grey, your day feels sombre too. Bear with me while I rant on, feeling all emo.

Sometimes I wonder why I push myself so hard. I'm probably an agonist. I never know when to say 'No'. When clients call me up for any freelance, I'll always accept, even if I'm totally at wits end. I never want to cancel my tuition, which is every alternate day, 'cos I don't want to affect my students' progress. I hate to leave any work undone, and always give myself impossible deadlines in order to push myself harder. Sometimes, I think there's an inner me that's trying to murder myself.

Recently, I'm having trouble sleeping and eating. (Which is good, if it constitutes to any weight loss) I've been clutching my fists a lot and my legs get cramps ever so often. I think I am feeling very stressed out.

Have I been ranting far too much recently? Someone should just smack me around and tell me to get a life. Sheesh.

Yearning ...

Time: 10.02am
Location: Sitting on a couch, with an aircon that's freezing...and yeap..I'm in my office

I think it's PMS. I feel like turd. Perhaps it's due to the overwhelming new things that's happening recently, and I'm feeling the toll on me. Perhaps it's because the last vacation I took practically drained me out of my energy...(shopping and walking non-stop at Bangkok) Or perhaps it's the conversation I had with my new colleagues yesterday.

Well, they're mentioned some stuffs to me and I feel very sad...'cos they're actually nice people. Not the bitchy, political ones you'll often meet. I'm someone who tries to avoid change, not that I can't deal with it... I just don't like things not going the way they used to be. But still, I can understand their situations cos' (damn, now Sally Yeh's emotional song playing in the background) that's the reason why I left my old job.

I think the lazy bug has bit me. I'm like in this 'I want to take a break and not work for weeks' kind of mood. Like feeling totally wasted. I yearn for a nice long holiday back in Japan, and do nothing but breathe in the fresh country air there. I yearn to have a nice long lunch with close friends, and just slouch in a cafe with a piece of cake and earl grey.

Now I'm still seaten in this 'supposedly-temp-corner' which has slowly evolved into my permanent place. Honestly, I don't like it. I want a proper space to call my own... it doesn't feel like coming to work when you're seaten in the so-called common area. Still, I'll see how things go... I just posted yesterday that I'm enjoying my life now, so I shall continue to do so, without letting any unneccssary stuffs like where I seat get in the way.

Cheerios.

Life's been kind...so far

Time: 4.09pm
Location: Orchard (3 cheers once again)

Today's my first day to start work at 9am.... 2 more hours and I'm off to tuition!

Finally.. after the first 2 weeks of 'gruelling training' from my boss, I think I kinda 'survived'.

You see, my boss is like a replica of my brother. I happened to see his IC the other day when we were exchanging passes at the security and ... (drumroll pls)...he's a Taurus! Gee, I've always got this issue with Taurus guys, esp. since I grew up with one.

Below's my brief analysis of a Taurus guy.. (and I might be wrong, but it's purely my own assumption)
1. They are VERY MCP. All the Taurus guy friends I know seemed to always think they're right... and usually want others to agree with them.
2. They like innocent and gentle looking girls. Well, I guess most guys do too, but for Taurus, it seems extremely apparent.
3. They are bad-tempered. (No need elaboration)
4. They are usually quite career-minded, and have some directions in life. Which is a good thing.
5. They love their Moms. But seldom get along with their Dads. Or maybe it's guys in general..haha..
6. But they are actually a softie...just too strong-headed to show it.

Maybe it's because my ex-boss was a terror, my new Taurean boss is actually quite ...nice. Of course, there are times when he gives unreasonable demands...but if you've read my earlier posts about my ex-boss, you'll understand why my Taurean boss is actually all human.

I attended my Orientation last Thursday..and boy, am I overwhelmed. I'm classmates with like..the director of MICA, Editor of XX magazaine/papers... and I'm like the lowly graphic designer, who definitely appeared pretty ditzy.

I was trying to read through my notes last night and I felt so lost. It's like...I have to read through a sentence over and over again in order to understand that particular sentence. Gosh, I do hope I graduate!

There's like a whole to-do list for me that has been stalled for the longest time.
My freelance is still on-going, I have yet to collect my modem and CDs, I have to buy pressies for my dearest friend's birthday (and my bro's too!) and I really have to get my arse down to do more reading and research. My last year's resolution of learning how to ride a bicycle is like so vague now.

Gosh, I am writing to much today! I actually feel good about my life now. At least there's a direction and I've got something to look forward to. I am so going to savour every moment of this.

A Whole New Start

Time: 5.10pm
Location: Town...office (YIPEE!)

Can you believe it? I'm in town. In office...and yes, my office's in town... I can literally feel myself weighing 10 pounds lighter while walking in here this morning.

It's my second day at work and I like it here. People are nice (so far) and it's so convenient. I'm also getting used to my new boss, who first appeared rather intimidating and demanding..but seemed to have mellow a little now that I'm officially his full-time staff.

My new place is just like 10mins walk away from my school, so one can imagine my excitment. New job, new colleagues, new school!

My last day at Loyang was rather... sad. I don't know...it has after all been almost 2 and a half yrs there, so I can't help feeling really... well, sad. I had to bring my luggage along to pack my stuffs...and yes, my desk is messy.

My colleagues gave me Marina Sq vouchers (I'm just so easy to read) and we had tiramisu cake and Swensen's cookies and cream ice cream cake to celebrate my last day...(also my accounts execu. last day)

Everything was so familiar...and then I came to this whole new place. I'm practically the only full-time female here, and therefore, I can imagine the 'uneasiness' of the guys. It's relatively quiet on the first day, but today's slightly better. I can hear people chatting now.

There's so much I want to update you guys with...but my boss's expecting my stuffs in a min..so I guess I'll have to update later!

I miss you people.

Time: 7.10pm

My boss is still not back yet. Well, I'm only an hour away from knocking off from work...and we're expected to see some important people tomorrow, so I have no idea what time I get to knock off...sigh.

Each day is getting better. Today's dinner is actually pretty nice. ( I took a pic with my hp...will load soon- talking about that, I'm using a new cellphone, MOTOROLA RAZR V6) They packed rice with hash browns, chicken, pork and green veg...and heaps of rice. I felt as though I was being compensated for forgetting my dinner yesterday.

I don't have a proper desk yet... my boss's always not around, so I also don't know who to ask. My boss did say that my station will be ready soon...(I don't know what soon means though) I am using Jane's laptop now, so my fingers are a little clumsy.

I'm actually feeling very, very tired. You see, I haven't had any decent rest since God knows when. I was working late at Loyang, then I'm doing freelance and tuitioning...then before I started work, my boss wanted me to help out in the meantime, so I'm juggling like 2 full-time jobs, tuition and freelance. Now that I'm at my new job, I'm pretty glad things are finally moving smoothly. The thought of the amount of money that I'll get at the end of all these gets me going. Now I may sound like I'm some money-driven freak...the truth is, I am.

I am so determined that this new job is going to be a whole new start to something great in my life. I just hope my gut feeling is going to be right again this time.
