Mission Accomplished

Time: 10.36am
Actual Date for blogging: 12 March (so i'm like 2 weeks late)

Mission: To find the full collection for NBC Coffins
Location: China Square
Date: 12 March

Armed with my new camera, I'm determined to capture the day's event. I dragged Jen along with me and we headed to China Square. I used to work around that area and I've always like the atmosphere there. It's like so modern-going-to-be-vintage kinda feel. Oh well, I guess only I know what I'm saying.

I was supposed to venture Arab St/ Beach road someday but I guess I'll start with China Square first. I bought a few 'coffins' online from yahoo auctions and I'm on my way to collect them. I never knew that China Square has a flea market on weekends. It's great for toy collectors! I even met 2 ex schoolmates there..(ok, that was not important...I'm just blabbling away)

I was ecstatic when I found more of the 'coffins' to add to my collection. I bought my first one (the boogie man) in Taiwan and I really wanted to complete the collection. The nice lady who sold it to me was kind enough to gimme a discount..I sourced around but failed to find the last 2 to make the collection complete. It's the 2 of the little kidos..if u've got them...PLS SELL IT TO ME! It's from the first series... I doubt I'll be able to find them anywhere soon. So here's some of the pics I took that fateful day.

Jen loves to 'flaut' her side profile..

The flea market

Yucky Avacado blended and yummy chicken pie

Jen gets creative with the ads

TaDaa! The collection!

Aniway...I realised that Science is sooo tough these days. What kinda questions are they trying to get pri school kids to understand!? When I was in Pri 3, I was taught to put my hands in 2 pails of cold and hot water and differentiate the temperature (which even a 4-yr-old can do)...now my student is asked questions like : " Is bougainvillea poisonous? Is the outer covering of birds' feet skin or scales? Which of the following animals have mammary glands (MCQ Qns)" When I did a google on the second qns, I was given this – Birds' feet are covered with skin and then scales...***WHAT THE!?

I guess the education system here wants to challenge the poor child's general knowledge, but honestly, I think full-grown adults like us may not be able to answer them too...Gosh, spare the poor child..she's already confused enough.

So much for new year resolutions

Time: 1.49pm

The title says it all. A quarter of the year has just whizzed by and I'm nowhere near achieving any of my new year resolutions. I haven't even got my butt out there to learn to cycle!

But one thing's for sure, I seem to be more firm on my grounds and not being a such a push-over this time. (gosh, what's with my grammar...oh well..u noe what I mean) I've managed to get a Nikon digital camera from the IT fair so you can be sure that more pics going to be uploaded. I even managed to find my Nightmare before Christmas "coffins" collection. I already took the pictures but I haven't had the decency to load them. In other words, I'm lazy. I'm a bum. You know, people always find excuses when they don't want to do something, like "I'm exhausted...", "I'm tired"...why not just admit it like me? "I'm LAZY"

It's gonna rain soon... the skies so gloomy out there. Finally it rained...after so many days. We have a new editor in today. She seems pretty nice. I think I'll like her. Good... finally.

It's A small world part 2 & Kids I Miss

Time: 10.30am

Now, i have to admit I am skiving in the office again. Supposed to go sourcing soon, but currently I've got no jobs in...so here I am, about to start ranting once again.

*Why it's a small world?

I just found out from my friendster account that an ex pri-sch friend of mine (I was from 2 pri sch, and this was the first one I attended) is dating a secondary school friend of mine. How remarkable is that!?

Ok, that's the only entry I had to say regarding this topic. Aniway, I just discovered this interesting documentary on Arts Central last night. It's showing at 10pm and it's called 'Super Nanny'. Being a paedophile ...no, I mean, being someone who simple adore kids, I love this show! It showed a family with an extremely bratty kid (or kids sometimes) and how they managed to 'tame' the child by the methods of the Super Nanny- Jo Frost. She's really good with them, in fact...I find her looking very much like Angelica Houston = scary and a little like some character from the Kumars.

(taken from e website...and see how scary she can look????and what's that apparition behind her!?Gasp!)

Amazingly, after 3 weeks of 'time-out' and routines, the kid turned out to be such an adorable angel. Esp. yesterday's episode with this 2-year-old Charlie. He's really cute. Reminded me of the days when i was at Kinderland. I was put in an expat. class for a while and they're so adorable. Ok, they're like 10 times more mischievous than the local kids(considering that the ratio of the boys to the girls in the class is 10:1 )... but at the end of the day, when they flashed their toothless grin, you just want to give them a big squeeze and kiss. I remembered the boy with the ever-runny nose-George , the super-hyper boy who kana bashed (ok, not bashed, but he irritated them and they kinda 'tekan' him) by his fellow 2-yr-olds- Matija, the 'clean-freak', Daruish- who was nicknamed Mohd Ali when he broke his nose, the lovable Japanese girls M&M, Momoko and Minori and the SUPER-CHARMING- Ivo... a mix of Dutch and Japanese. I could go on forever about them..and god, I miss them so much. They're probably like 7-8 years old now... and they're going to grow up to be such fine young people.

___________ ___________ ___________ ___________ ___________ ___________ ___________ ___________ ___________ ___________

i just realised that I've developed a slight crush on someone. It's been a long time that I'll get flustered when I see someone I like. And because I've known this person for a little over a yr (and it's only recently that i think I might like him) , i know it's not a phase. But...BUTTTTTTT... I think he's attached. I saw a pic of some girl in his wallet once. I told Jen that if he ever gets married, I'l prob be quite depressed. She suggested maybe he's bi. Then I would get so grossed out and move on with my life. Ok, it doesn't link at all...He's just a regular guy. Not exceptionally rich nor good-looking. In fact, he always seemed so flustered and yesterday when I saw him, he looked quite tired. Sigh... why are all the good men taken..and if they're not...why can't they OPEN UP THEIR EYES and see what a gem I can be... I just need some polishing, some lipo and new clothes. Hahaha.. now, I'm not going to fussy. In case he's REALLY married or something, I'll just have to look for a new target in life. But pls...don't let him be married........

Sleeping colleagues

(Done at 4.22pm today)

Time: 2.30pm

Shh...my colleague is resting next to me now...she must be darn tired. It's a great time to rest now, just after lunch and no work is in as the new 'head' is not in yet. So here I am, surfing the internet for interesting shopping webbies and fiddling around with the softwares.

I finally got started with Illustrator. I used to use it briefly during my attachment days but then I haven't touched it since I stepped out into the society. So imagine how amazed I was at the graphics it can produce. ok, I am aware of it...just that I didn't realise how easy it was to achieve them...and just to show you what a show-off I am, I've attached a picture of something I doodled yesterday after lunch (the unofficial skiving hour) ...Hui said it looked nice...and she called me Miss Haolian..haha....well..that's because I said "sibei song" when she praised me..hehehe...we're such cheeky bitches.

Aniway, I haven't been really lucky these days. I took a chance at the 'tikam' machines (of Nightmare before christmas) and i got Jack at the first try. Imagine my excitment. I ended up with 2 Boogie Mans (or Men) after that and one of them had a broken casing. (DARN!) ...and when I reached home, my 'Jack' was missing an arm!!! Now he's standing on top of my TV without an arm. The armless Jack.

Aniway, this is what I've been looking for....so if you guys happen to spin one of these and U dun like it, PLEASE..give it to me.

The luck's been running so low, I think I'm going to get a four leaf clover. I saw onen from www. julieroberts.com.sg and it's a little pricey. But if I ever pass by Beach Road (Concourse) , I might just go and get it lah.....

Will the name help?

Time: 10.00 am

I am in the office....and the issue just closed...so I am skiving.

Wondering what's with the title? I was reading the papers on Sunday and they claimed that blogs with the name 'Tammy' had a surge of people vising their blog..whether or not it had anything to do with that infamous news. I think it's just a mean attempt for people to get famous, riding on the coat-tails of a poor suffering girl. Just let her move on man... she must've suffered enough. Regardless of what she did, she didn't deserve this man... whoever did this to her will definitely regret it in years to come.

Aniway, I went to Fort Minor's Concert... I LOVEEEEEE Mike Shinoda. Damn, he is just so talented... music, design, words...you name it, he can do it. Sheesh, now why does he have to be taken? The concert was alright actually.... maybe cos I'm not a massive hip-hop fan. I still prefer LP so I felt kinda sorry for Mike, for the lukewarm response our local gave him. His band members seemed pissed, like they can't wait for the concert to end. It's more of like a showcase than a concert. Damn, that means Mike (see, I'm calling him on a first-name basis) prob. won't be here ever again.

I had a massive shopping frenzy on Saturday...travelled to Orchard, then to Marina then to Suntec...and surprise surprise, I only spent less than $100! I went Zouk to celebrate Jen's unofficial hen-night and I witness the most indecent act of all... a foreigner peeing just 5 metres away from me. He must've been dead-drunk but when I saw him unbuckling his belt and pulling it down, I swear I won't buy toto for this month. (ok, not like I buy aniway)... I should've took a picture of him and blackmail him when he's sober. But then again, I'll probably be bashed up before that happens.

Aniway, congrats to my dearest Jen... she's finally married despite attempts of me trying to ask her to wait for me and hold a double wedding. Jen, wish u all the best!
